Another year and another unforgettable Thanksgiving Food Drive with Trina´s Kids Foundation at Hubble Studio in DTLA. A beautiful day of giving back filled with nothing but love + gratitude.
The Plates by Lisa team + 15 incredible volunteers from the community came out to share their energy + light and to serve up a warm Thanksgiving feast. On the menu for this beautiful event was; 80 lbs. of Honey Baked Ham, 100 lbs. of Creamy Mashed Potato, 34 lbs. of Green Beans, ending with delicious Apple + Pumpkin Pies topped with Whipped Cream.
Right before doors opened a moment of intention was set. "Thank you to everyone for showing up and sharing your time and energy, old faces and new faces here to serve food with me, this warms my soul and you all make a difference" - Chef Lisa
Like the years before the highlight of this special day was the interaction and connection with the community, this year with 350 families that added up close to 500 people all who left with groceries and supplies for their own holiday meal, their bellies nourished and smiles that lit up their faces. Another amazing member of the TKF community, the lovely abuela Gloria brought a truly meaningful moment. Greeting Chef Lisa + the team with love and affection, sharing her smiles and hugs galore.
